100 Level: Foundations

Perfect for new believers or those who want a fresh look at the basics of faith. Explore essential topics like salvation, prayer, and building a daily walk with Jesus.

Take the next step in your discipleship journey. Study key books of the Bible, strengthen your understanding of doctrine, and learn practical ways to apply God’s Word to your life.

Engage with challenging questions of faith and theology. Study apologetics, church history, and advanced doctrine to deepen your understanding and confidently share the truth of the gospel.

Find Your Class

Community Christian University offers a variety of class levels to meet you wherever you are in your spiritual journey. Choose a course that fits your season of life.

100 Level: Faith Foundations 

This six-week course presents the foundations of our faith, our church's history, values, mission, and vision, and serves as our membership course. Class topics include: God, Salvation, the Bible, Spiritual Unity, and the Christian Life.

About the InstructorDave is a dedicated follower of Christ and has a heart for teaching people to know more of who Jesus is and how He impacts every part of our lives.  He has served several terms on the elder board at Community Church over the years. Dave iwas a Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin where he taught embryology and clinical anatomy.

200 Level: Historical Evidence of the Word

This course will explore the archaeological and historical evidence for the authenticity of Scripture and how it points to Christ. We will examine the patriarchs, the exodus, the conquest, and the period of the judges, along with diving into specific individuals & locations in both the Old & New Testaments, concluding with an understanding of how the Bible we use today was compiled. 

Instructor: Michael Lane

About the Instructor: Michael Lane has been attending Community Church since 2023. He is the founder of Evidence 4Faith, a nonprofit ministry that points people to God through science, history, and scripture. They design resources to teach and train individuals in apologetics.

200 Level: Questions Jesus Asked

This course will address six key questions from Jesus that demand an answer and lead us into deeper maturity.  In this course, we'll examine: Who Jesus is, why we follow Him, if we trust Him, if we'll submit to Him, what happens if we fail Him, and why we're tempted to walk away from Jesus' hard truths. Each class will reveal something about us, something about Jesus, and something about the heart of God.

About the Instructor: Jeff Eagen has been part of Community Church since 2023. He is a former pastor with a heart for discipleship and leading people to know who Jesus truly is.

Who can attend?

Anyone who is a part of Community Church is invited to join us on Wednesday nights! Our desire as a church family is to grow together in our faith and in relationship with one another. 

Do I need to register? 

The Classes section of this webpage contains registration links for each class. Simply decide which class you would like to join, follow the registration link, and complete the form. This allows us to be well prepared with any necessary materials and class spaces.

Is child care provided?

Community Christian University is for the whole family! There is something for every part of the family on Wednesday nights. Child care is available for 6 weeks - 3 years, DiscipleLand is for preschool - 5th grade, and Equipped is for 6th-12th grade.

How long do classes run?

When we have our full launch in January, we will have several courses running. There will be 6 week, 12 week, and 16 week courses available. For our soft launch on October 15, we will have Faith Foundations (6 weeks) and Spiritual Gifts (9 weeks).
