I have a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater where I double majored in Accounting and Spanish. After 3 years working as a public accountant, God showed me that he had different plans for my life through a particularly difficult pregnancy (of my 2nd child, Emma). After her birth, I began to take long-term substitute positions in the high-need area of World Languages. I soon began to realize that I have a passion for education and children. I added an education minor through the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and became a licensed educator, licensed to teach early childhood through adolescence. I now have 10 years of teaching experience, primarily in adolescence (middle and high school). I later completed a Master’s of Business Administration in Education Leadership with an emphasis in curriculum, instruction and assessment through the Milwaukee School of Engineering. During my time at MSOE, I completed a practicum through my then employer to earn a principal license and a director of curriculum and instruction license. Since then, I have served as an adjunct professor of Spanish through the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, allowing students to earn up to 16 college credits by taking Spanish throughout high school. I have served on the leadership team of my school district, making decisions and designing programming for the entire school. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to be the driving force behind a curriculum overhaul and the re-design and implementation of the teacher on-boarding program while continuing to be a classroom teacher at a local mid-sized rural public school district. I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to serve this church family and partner with you as parents for the training-up of your children. During my 2 years at Community Church, I have been inspired by the way that God is moving in our church body, and I can’t wait to see where He leads us next!
