Dawn Klug
Biblical Counselor
Dawn began her nursing career as a bedside nurse. She later focused on adult care as a home care case manager where she learned the use of counseling techniques such as cognitive behavior therapy and motivational interviewing. As her career grew, she became a leader within the home care division, focusing on the safe transitions of care for patients for both home care and hospice. However, after being in leadership for many years, Dawn’s focus changed, and she followed the call the Lord placed on her heart. She saw that her gifts and talents better served people who needed healing of Mind, Body, and Spirit that only can be found through Jesus.
Dawn’s educational journey is a testament to her commitment to her profession and calling. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a master’s in nursing leadership and management, a master’s degree in nursing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and board certification with the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) and certification as a Faith Community Nurse, further solidify her expertise.
Dawn’s counseling approach is distinct and deeply rooted in her belief in the importance of biblical principles. She sees us all as children of God and His image bearers, with Jesus as our Savior and healer and the Holy Spirit guiding us to grow. This belief system guides her Practice, focusing on the interconnection of Mind, Body, and Spirit to help others experience healing,
contentment, and peace that surpasses understanding. Dawn believes that only by God's saving grace and our Lord Jesus's merciful grace can we learn to forgive ourselves and others and heal the brokenness of our hearts, which then enables us to show love, mercy, grace, and compassion to others – this is the true picture of Grace upon Grace. Let’s walk this journey together to rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior, to be embraced in the peace and healing only found in Him.
